We need your work for the Rag Rug exhibition being held at Bailiffgate Museum in Alnwick this autumn. Submission day is this Sunday 4th September and the museum will be accepting entries from 11 am until 3 pm.
As this is a completely open exhibition, all entries are welcome and will be exhibited, whether you've been rag rugging for years or you're a complete beginner. Please contact us If you would like to find out more or you'd like to exhibit. The exhibition runs from 9th September to 30th October and the museum is open from 10am - 4.00pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Admission charge. We will be demonstrating rag rugging at the museum from 11 am until 3 pm on Saturday 10th September as part of the Heritage Open Day scheme. There will also be further craft demonstrations on Sunday 11th September and admission to the museum is free on both days. If you'd like to learn how to rag rug we'll also be running a 1 day workshop for beginners at the Museum on Saturday 1st October. The workshop costs £40 per person and this includes all materials, hot drinks AND homemade cake.
